Is It Love Or Lust?

10 Mar

It is said that a man will fight battles for lust, but they will make a home and a family for love. But without lust, sometimes love will never blossom. They are undoubtedly intertwined, sometimes for the worst.

So how do you know if you are in lust or actually in love? Or how to tell if you are in love with lust. If you think it’s lust, here are a few things to ask yourself:

Do you only want to have sex?: Returning phone calls is not important, unless making plans to have sex.

Is he/she your booty call?: You can’t be bothered with this person until you go out and get drunk with your friends, and pick up the phone for 3 a.m. sex.

You are obsessed with his/her body and looks: If you’re picturing him/her in bed naked before you even get a first name, this is definitely a sign!

You could care less about conversing: You make excuses not to spend time with this person, unless you are having sex. You fantasize about others while with them, or they annoy you profusely if you’re not in the sack.

You leave immediately after sex: No snuggles, no breakfast in bed, just SEE YA!

And if it’s love if…

You have great chemistry: You seem to connect on every level, have tons in common, feel comfortable around each other and have great conversations.

You see a future together: If you can picture yourself being together in the distant future, having a family and getting married.

You want to spend time together: It doesn’t matter what you are doing, you just want to be with them. It could be a great night out on the town or just snuggling on the couch watching a movie.

You include them in all plans: Whether going out with your friends or just taking a walk, you want them with you all the time. You can’t get them out of your head and you don’t care!

If you like to juggle multiple partners, are not satisfied with anyone, are one for short-term fun, then you just plain love lust! You know it’s love if you’re in it for the long haul. Neither is wrong, it’s all in your preference. Whichever you choose, enjoy and have fun but make sure you and your partner are on the same page so nobody gets hurt.
