We’ve all been there… head over heels in love. There’s nothing quite like it. And you sit there thinking to yourself, what could I do to make this better? How can I really get this guy? (or girl) Well, like everything in life, nothing is guaranteed, but here are some sure fire ways to make that special someone really take notice of what a great catch you are.
* Fuss over him: You know as well as I do that men are big babies. They absolutely love to be doted upon. The next time he gets a paper cut or trips over a pair of your stilletos, rush to get a band-aid and kiss it all better. If he fails to get that big promotion at work, make his favorite meal that evening. Or if he’s bummed out and wants to be left alone, steal his phone while he’s in the bathroom and call up the guys to arrange a poker night. He will have time to unwind and you can hang with the girls. Bonus! Everyones happy!
*Make him feel important: All men think they’re studs, so lets keep their egos boosted, shall we ladies? Call him over to your place to fix something, even if you can do it yourself. They LOVE to feel needed. Let him reach something off the top shelf instead of grabbing the nearest chair (which we always do!) Keep in mind the little things that will make him feel like a big man!
*Keep complaining to a minimum: If you’re like me, everything has to be “just so.” And if it isn’t, the whole world knows it! Men can only take so much. They aren’t like us- they can’t sit for hours eating icecream and crying about missing the biggest shoe sale ever! If you can’t hold it in, simply say what’s bothering you- but keep it brief. And hold back the tears.
*Do not have “feelings time”: As noted in the above paragraph, men do not wish to engage in coffee talk and watch you get all verklempt! Keep these sessions for your girlfriends. They’re much more understanding anyway!
*Let him have guy time: Yes, I know, you miss him. You both worked all day and you want to spend time with your honey. But if he says he’s going out for a beer with the guys, let him go and don’t give him grief. Everyone needs time with their friends and besides, you can start on that new book you bought last month. Time apart makes you miss eachother even more. And trust me, he will love you for it.
As for the rest, use your imagination. You know what your partner responds to and what he doesn’t. How you choose to implement your evil plan of him falling madly in love with you is the fun part! Keep it creative and unique- you don’t want to be a cardboard cutout with the same ol boring routine. Show him you’re worth it by putting in the extra effort and you will reap the benefits quickly.
